Ruby Best® & Ruby Fall® – The perfect raspberry pairing

kompakte Himbeere, Lowberry, Ruby Best, SommerhimbeereThere's something happening in the compact raspberry segment: two remarkable new additions are setting new standards. Discover Lowberry® Ruby Best® and Lowberry® Ruby Fall® – two varieties that impress not only with their exceptional growth, but above all with their perfectly coordinated ripening behaviour. Together, they provide continuous harvesting pleasure from early summer until well into autumn.

Two varieties, one goal: quality and enjoyment

Raspberries come in a wide variety of colours: yellow, apricot, deep red, purple and even black – each variety has its own unique characteristics. But Ruby Best® and Ruby Fall® stand out from the crowd. Not just because of their colour, but also because of their unusually compact habit and consistently thornless appearance.

Both varieties are a highlight both visually and horticulturally: their very short internodes mean they grow bushy and compact. Ruby Best® remains particularly low at a maximum height of 60 cm, while Ruby Fall® is slightly taller but still clearly in the compact segment. This habit makes them not only attractive to the eye, but also ideal for growing in small areas, for growing in pots on balconies or terraces, or in urban snack gardens.

Two characters, one perfect team

Although they look similar, the decisive difference lies in the fruiting type and ripening behaviour – and that is exactly what makes them an ideal duo:

Ruby Best® is a classic floricane raspberry. The fruits appear on the previous year's canes, with the first ripe fruits available from the end of June.

Ruby Fall®, on the other hand, is an primocane raspberry that fruits on the annual shoots – from mid/late July until September.

This perfectly coordinated interplay ensures a seamless transition in the harvest season: when Ruby Best® produces its last fruits, Ruby Fall® really starts to take off.

Those who plant both varieties together benefit from a long harvest period and a consistent supply of fresh, aromatic berries.

The raspberry dream team at a glance

Now that you know why and how both varieties complement each other perfectly, let us introduce you to our new dream couple.

Lowberry® Ruby Fall®

kompakte Himbeere, Lowberry, Ruby Fall, Herbsthimbeere

Advantages of Lowberry® Ruby Fall®

  • Completely thornless
  • Primocane raspberry
  • Compact growth thanks to short internodes
  • Fruity & sweet

Short description of Lowberry® Ruby Fall®
